Oil and gas exploration and development jeopardizes the survival of the vulnerable polar bears living in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. When polar bears come in contact with oil and other industrial chemicals—through grooming, eating tainted food, or directly ingesting the chemicals from oil operations—it could be lethal.
