River otters can only survive in healthy rivers, streams, and wetlands. This water-loving species was once nearly wiped out in many parts of the country, in large part due to pollution in the waters they call home—and has rebounded in the decades since the Clean Water Act was passed.
But the Trump Administration has just announced a plan to remove Clean Water Act protections for streams and wetlands that otters rely on.
It’s not just otters who need clean water, we all do. Millions of Americans drink water from sources that would no longer be protected by the Clean Water Act if the new plan moves forward.
Speak out before it’s too late: tell the Environmental Protection Agency and the Corps of Army Engineers that we need to strengthen, not weaken, protections for clean water!
