Speak Out for Safe Wildlife Crossings

Wildlife crossings connect fragmented habitat for imperiled wildlife and can reduce dangerous wildlife-vehicle collisions by 90%. In 2021, Congress established the first national wildlife crossings program, dedicating $350 million to building wildlife crossings for species from tortoises and birds to elk, pronghorn, and mountain lions. The program has been extremely popular, with demand far exceeding available funding.

The Wildlife Crossings Pilot Program is up for renewal in Congress. Tell your senators and representatives to expand and reauthorize the program for the safety of wildlife and people.
