Don’t Let Canada Lynx Fade Away
There are only a few hundred Canada lynx left in the lower 48 states. Currently, there are rules that protect threatened species like the Canada lynx from being killed, injury, habitat destruction, and other harms—so they can make a recovery instead of moving closer to being endangered. But new proposals would eliminate these requirements to protect threatened species.
In addition, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has proposed changes that would undermine protection of endangered species’ critical habitat, and could lead to species not even being listed in the first place if the economic impact is too great—corrupting scientific decisions. Please speak up for threatened Canada lynx, and all endangered and threatened species that need help.
