Protect clean waters for green herons

A green heron perches on a piece of wood over the water

Birds like the green heron who rely on healthy waters are facing population declines as their habitats are polluted and degraded. The Ohio River Basin is a vast network across 15 states of diverse rivers, wetlands, and other ecosystems that support an incredible array of wildlife including green herons and over 350 species of fish. But these waters are under dire threat from pollution, runoff, invasive species, and more. A new bill in Congress will create a program dedicated to restoring and protecting the waters of the Ohio River Basin for the 30 million people and hundreds of wildlife species that call it home.

Tell your House representative to support the bipartisan Ohio River Restoration Program Act to support healthy communities, wildlife, and habitats.
