Act for Egrets and Clean Water

Great Egret

The great egret feeds on fish and other small animals in a variety of wetland habitats. As more wetlands are drained and filled or polluted, great egrets’ nesting and foraging areas will be destroyed.

The House of Representatives will vote soon on the PERMIT Act—which would abandon Clean Water Act safeguards that protect waters that serve as healthy drinking water supplies, mitigate damage from flooding and drought, and provide fish and wildlife habitat. Urge your representative to vote NO on the PERMIT Act.
