The western migratory monarch butterfly population has declined by over 99% in the past three decades. Please, cosponsor and support the Monarch Action, Recovery, and Conservation of Habitat Act (MONARCH Act) to help restore and conserve our native pollinators.

The MONARCH Act (S. 857, H.R. 4350) invests in the conservation and recovery of the threatened western migratory monarch and other native pollinators that are vital to healthy ecosystems, biodiversity and our nation’s food supply.This important bill authorizes funding over the next five years to support the implementation of the Western Monarch Butterfly Conservation Plan, sponsored by the Western Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies. It also establishes the Western Monarch Butterfly Rescue Fund to support the restoration of natural habitats for monarch butterflies and other pollinators. This fund provides support for the work of pollinator experts with local governments, tribal governments, researchers, and other organizations implementing monarch and pollinator conservation plans.

There is still hope for this native pollinator species, but Congress must act now to ensure this beautiful and ecologically important butterfly is conserved for future generations.
