Rocky Mountain elk depend on migration corridors to seek out food, mating partners, and seasonal habitat. But when lands are leased noncompetitively to oil and gas companies, they can no longer be managed to protect these wildlife areas.
More than 2.9 million acres of land have been leased noncompetitively under the Trump Administration. These are lands that can no longer be managed for outdoor recreation or conservation.
Please tell your senators to support Senator Jon Tester’s Leasing Market Efficiency Act which will end noncompetitive leasing so that our public lands can be managed for wildlife conservation.
