URGENT: Call to Protect Maui Reefs and Sea Turtles

Maui reef

Today, friends of wildlife are calling Maui’s mayor and telling him to protect Maui’s reefs and ocean wildlife and stand with the letter and intent of the national Clean Water Act. We must let him know that polluted reefs will harm Maui’s tourism economy and the waters that wildlife depend on.

The County of Maui’s Lahaina Wastewater Reclamation Facility has for decades used injection wells to dispose of its treated wastewater, sending millions of gallons a day of polluted water into the ocean just offshore of Kahekili Beach.

Please enter your phone number below to connect to Maui Mayor Victorino and tell him to do the right thing and stop allowing sewage effluent to damage coral reefs.
