The Environmental Protection Agency has proposed a rule to weaken the Mercury and Air Toxics Standards that limits the release of toxic mercury and other hazardous air pollution from coal-fired power plants. Rolling back this safeguard would be disastrous for both people and wildlife.
Mercury air pollution from power plants makes its way into streams, rivers and lakes, and then travels up through organisms in the food chain to contaminate the food both we and wildlife eat.
Take Action: Tell the Environmental Protection Agency to maintain standards to limit toxic mercury pollutionーthe health of wildlife and people depend on these protections!
