Defend Our Climate

Over the past few years, our government has made significant progress on addressing climate change through legislation and agency rules – from historic investments in clean energy and climate-smart agriculture, to updated environmental rules that cut carbon and toxic mercury from power plants.

With these efforts, we are protecting at-risk wildlife species like endangered native bumblebees and building a more sustainable and bright future for the next generations. This is why we must safeguard existing climate legislation and keep moving forward with climate action at all levels of government. Unfortunately, some Members of Congress are seeking to slash climate funding or use a little known tool called the Congressional Review Act (CRA) to overturn critical environmental protections from across the Administration.

Sign the petition to Congress urging them to defend climate legislation from recent attacks.

PETITION TO MEMBERS OF CONGRESS

Dear Member of Congress,

Under the bold leadership of the Biden Administration, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and every Member of Congress who led the fight to pass the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA)–the largest climate investment in American history–we have made significant progress on climate. This includes stronger standards that will reduce harmful pollution driving climate change, including pollution from power plants, vehicles, and soot sources.

But this progress is under attack.

That’s why we’re calling on you, our leaders in Congress, to stand up to attacks by big polluters and their allies. Please Defend Our Climate by:

  • Blocking efforts to roll back investments in our communities and in clean energy jobs passed under the Inflation Reduction Act
  • Opposing CRAs that aim to repeal limits on pollutants from power plants, cars, trucks, and harmful sources
  • Protecting the climate-smart ag investments in the Farm Bill
  • Saying NO to efforts to cut critical funding to combat climate change in the federal budget

We need you to Defend Our Climate.
